A small cabin quietly tucked into a bend of Halawakee Creek on the east side of Opelika. The cabin has one bathroom, a small kitchenette stocked with basic cookware, a sleeping loft with queen memory foam mattress, and queen sleeper sofa. Pets are welcome and a small fenced pen is connected to the cabin. Included with all stays on Auburn home weekends is a parking pass at Rothbard Village in Auburn, 1/2 mile from Jordan-Hare. The cabin itself is located less than 5 miles from I-85 exit 66, 8 miles from Southern Union State Community College, 9 miles to downtown Opelika, and 17 miles to Auburn University and Jordan-Hare Stadium. Cabin is located on private property and includes owner residence. You will likely see us out and about, so feel free to say hello. We have 2 pups of our own and they are very friendly. Please let us know if we need to keep them away during your stay as they often roam our property. Our property is 15.5 acres that is bordered on 2 sides by Halawakee creek with trails running throughout. The land was formerly the site of Halawakee Creek Nursery and boost a wide variety of native flowering plants and East Asian imports, among them are many rare native azaleas and 7 varieties of bamboo including Mosa, the largest temperate climate bamboo that grows to over 70 feet in height. We encourage you to explore the creek, the bamboo groves, and nature trails we've cut throughout the property.

The 2 master bedrooms (one upstairs & one downstairs) have king beds with attached bathrooms and plenty of storage. Plus there's a trundle bed in the spacious loft and a pull-out sofa in the den. These areas sleep a total of 4 more guests, so our home accommodates a total of 8 guests. Perfect for a group or for families to share! The home includes three flat-screen tvs and free wi-fi. The loft is also ideal for business travelers. It has a laptop friendly workspace, free wifi, a desk, and a wireless printer. The loft is a quiet spot to catch up on your work or enjoy a good book in the reading nook. The eat-in kitchen is large and includes stainless appliances, plus lots of coffee & tea. This is a 1100 sq ft new renovation inside and out!!!Very clean and cozy. It is located minutes from Auburn and Opelika with only a short drive to anything you want to do. The area is safe and quiet. All linens are provided. The kitchen is stocked with most anything you will need to prepare meals except the food. Some of our previous guests have used Uber to go to Auburn games to avoid driving and parking.

Grandparents' Retreat in Auburn :) :) This is truly our "home-away-from-home" , the location where we bond with our wonderful Grands. In the closet of their room you will find books, toys, games, and pajamas. Our home would probably would not be considered "posh" but it is very nice, clean, cozy, and has a wonderful backyard. (Check out our pictures) Our prices are very reasonable. --We are a very short distance (a couple of blocks) off North Donahue... 4-5 miles from the stadium, and about a 13 minute drive according to google. North Donahue leads you directly into the stadium. --We are 3 minutes from the new Walmart Supermarket and about 4-5 minutes from Publix. Both are almost a straight shot from our house. --Our home has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in an extremely safe, walker-friendly, subdivision-- one king, one queen, one full. All beds are very comfortable ---An air mattress is available --We have a beautiful, rustic, and peaceful backyard with a cozy covered patio. --Our home is perfect for ballgames. graduations, visiting family etc. --We have an attached garage --We DO have INTERNET service and a SMART TV with a good selection of family friendly DVDs. You have the option of using your own Netflex, Sling etc. accounts. We DO have basic CABLE. We have a very "child friendly" back yard with a swing set included. Clean and cozy 3 bedroom 2 bath home that will sleep 6. The 1st bedroom has a queen bed and private bathroom. Bedrooms 2 and 3 have full size beds. Bed linens, towels, paper towels and toilet paper are provided. The neighborhood is quiet and has a rural feel but is located just 10 minutes from Downtown Auburn and Opelika. Also conveniently located near golfing and sporting events. There is 1 acre of grassed area next to the house for tossing a football, corn hole or other games. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need to prepare meals. You can enjoy a nice cup of coffee on the covered front porch while enjoying the peace and quiet. There is plenty of parking next to the house and the yard is well lit with a security light. Previous guests have used Uber or Lyft to go into town and not have to worry about driving or parking while they enjoy a night out on the town. If you are looking for accommodations for a larger than 6, you may be interested to know this house is next door to our other rental at 2242 Peartree Road (VRBO 1198044} which also sleeps 6. The owners of the properties live close by and are available in case any questions need to be answered.

There is a lovely swing for 2 in the gazebo along with another hammock for relaxing. Take a glass of wine, turn on the fans and enjoy the sunset from this location. The 2 story boathouse is the perfect place to get in the lake and enjoy the water! The floating dock has 2 lounge chairs with cushions for sunbathing. There is also a choice of floats in the boat house along with fishing rods to keep you entertained. Another dining area is on the boat house that sits 6 people. Upstairs is one of the most unique features of the home with it's own "Pirate" themed bar with 3 rope swing seats. Enjoy a cold one up top and relax with your guests! We have a very special friend that calls the bar her home, her name is "Mama Duck" and if you are lucky you will see her poking her head out from the rafters!
